#5: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: anton1989, Location: west midlandsPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:04 am ---- the black goes well its just the white, as nothing else is white looks abit out of place
#6: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: iainlovatt, Posted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:06 am ---- make them black dude and get a sports bumper too!
#7: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:07 am ---- Would light output be okay if i spray the white part black too?
Or what about spraying them yellow..lol i dunno i'm worried about the visibility just because the reflectors got cut off.
I would love to get sports bumpers but it cost too much,id rather save the bigger cost and wait another year or 2 and i might consider getting myself 206 GTI 138.
#8: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: anton1989, Location: west midlandsPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:15 am ---- no dont spray them black mate, they shouldnt be sprayed at all really.

Never thought of it like that before, but it's a damn good description. I have 2 down the road that colour. Might just mention that description and see how long before they sell them.
The lights look crap. Get rid of the white and they will be slightly better. As already said, colour code them with chrome reflectors and they will suit the car.
#11: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 10:33 am ---- how could i get the chrome back though?
#12: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: NorthantsBen, Location: Raunds, NorthamptonshirePosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 10:54 am ---- is the light output not affected with the middle chrome painted?
#13: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:17 am ---- According to 00budham00 not much difference, however i won't know until i try driving in dark myself.
How would i go about spraying them chrome??
Would i need sand the white off then primer it and then get chrome paint spray or something?
#14: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: NorthantsBen, Location: Raunds, NorthamptonshirePosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:31 am ---- yes you can buy chrome paint from places like wilkinsons tho how good it is and what it like with the heat i have no idea.
#15: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:35 am ---- So do i need sand the white off or could i just spray primer on top and then chrome?

#17: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:46 am ---- Get some old crystals that are accident damaged on the casing. Take the reflectors out and fit them into your lamps.
#18: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 12:06 pm ---- As much as i would love to do that than paint them just means spending extra money on top =/ Well i'll see,be hard to get damaged ones when all scrapyards in Northampton sucks and probably sell them quite expensive.

#20: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: 206boyracer, Location: Sunny CornwallPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 12:58 pm ---- Why don't you just split your old headlights and take the chrome out of them? Won't cost you any money for paint or new headlights then!

True that, well i will eventually find out how they are when i drive at night, they seem okay when i turned them on when i fitted them this morning at 7am.
@boyracer because i was going sell those lol, whole point i bought the masked ones from budham because i couldn't get my orange crystals opened.
I may aswell of opened them and paint them myself and not of bought the budhams crystals, but i couldn't get myself to take the orange ones apart.

go corby scrap yard, on a sat morning there dirt cheap.
#23: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: kurosagi01, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 2:59 pm ---- How cheap were talking here Ben lol.
I had drive earlier to see the visibility of the crystals, not too bad does stretch very far still and still visible. Still better than angels, the Osrams sure makes difference.
If it does get really bad then i will probably replace them.
#24: Re: Black crystals fitted Author: 00budham00, Location: IpsPosted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 3:03 pm ---- Light sand then prime then chrome .
