Hey guys , I need some advice .
I bout my second 138sp a little while back and I was told the car came with some extra's one of them being 180 hubs (fitted to the car) and 180 callipers that still need fitting . Now I need to know some details about dimensions for the discs and will I need a special bracket to move the callipers out ? See the thing is I dont know what 180 hubs look like so I wont know if the guy I got the car from was talking out his bum .

the calipers will go straight on no brackets required if you talking about the front end of the car.

the gti-6 ones I put on fit no bother, just had to get discs + pads

You just buy the disks and pads for a GTi 180, it all goes straight on

Okay cool . With the pads are they all the same for the 180 ? I found that with my 138 there are three different types of pads as it is a 2001 change over year ?

Yeah Paul , I am just doing the front for now but will look into doing the back later .

Mintex is pretty good in my experience!

currently running greenstuff pads and discs from same manufacturer(EBC) not had a problem with these either (more expensive than mintex)

Is there anyway to find out the reg or year of the car it came from? That way you can be sure if you just buy pads and disks for the same year. Just as long as the calipers are not from a 307 or something and you go buying the 206 discs, you should be alright

Na no way of finding out what year the car was from but I can see if they are the same as 307 callipers as we have a 307 coming in tomorrow so I can take a peak lol

all them calipers mentioned will fit a 206 with 180 discs, sure all pads are the same for the 180 but dont quote me on that,

what you thinking for the rear as thats custom work

It's not so easy as any 180 disks will fit, there are slightly different brake offsets between 180, 307 hdi which can make things a nightmare if you are miss-sold calipers, buy the disks for the other car..

this is true. it is hard to tell if it got the 283mm/288mm/307mm calipers.

always check the parts number
