#4: Re: kangaroo juice Author: shell-vt, Location: durhamPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 8:11 am ---- no its something to do with air flow
#5: Re: kangaroo juice Author: Johnbyron, Location: ScunthorpePosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 11:18 am ---- I wouldn't of thought so unless you know of something that would have restricted the air flow on you car recently
#6: Re: kangaroo juice Author: LeeMaddern, Location: ScunthorpePosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 1:12 pm ---- Air flow sensor. Idle control valve.
#7: Re: kangaroo juice Author: shell-vt, Location: durhamPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 1:20 pm ---- not sure but its sucking in to much air from somewhere.. i carnt get it into the garage till late next week..
#8: Re: kangaroo juice Author: 206boyracer, Location: Sunny CornwallPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 3:52 pm ---- Too much air or too little fuel? My Astra did this when the fuel tank baffles came loose. Looking around on the vauxhall forums I found several things it could be before I checked the baffles.
Map sensor
Idle control valve
Egr valve
Throttle position sensor
Coolant temp sensor
Air leak
Fuel pump
Fuel leak allowing air into the injectors
Collapsed cat
I know it's not the same manufacturer but these can all cause kangarooing.
Hope something helps and you don't end up replacing everything like I did before finding out its something simple.
If its sucking too much air has the sensor fallen out of the inlet manifold or is the throttle body tightly bolted on?
#9: Re: kangaroo juice Author: shell-vt, Location: durhamPosted: Mon Sep 03, 2012 1:34 pm ---- ive had it on diagnostics nothing came up really just manifold something, just carn,t remember ... but the fella who does my work says its sucking in to much air, rather gasket leaking or one of the pipes...
#10: Re: kangaroo juice Author: 206boyracer, Location: Sunny CornwallPosted: Mon Sep 03, 2012 2:15 pm ---- Probably the map sensor then. That's situated in the manifold and measures the air going into the engine. If its not reading it correct it will be over or under fuelling.
