#1: Whats the verdict folks! Author: Yorkie, Posted: Fri Sep 21, 2012 12:10 pm ---- On my way to work this afternoon, just trundling along in my 2003 1.4 Hdi van minding my own when BANG ! A young lass in a Micra pulled out of a road and smashed into the side of me. I was spun 90 degrees and the damage is door and lower quater badly dented with a hole ripped through both as well a small hole ripped in the lower pillar. It drives ok but I've a feeling it may be wrote off. Its got 122000 on the clock and otherwise in rate good nick. What do you folks reckon ?

#8: Re: Whats the verdict folks! Author: Yorkie, Posted: Fri Sep 21, 2012 3:53 pm ---- Cheers for that folks, looks like its goosed then. Only bought it 3 weeks ago for a runner to work so its back to the drawing board. One thing I will do though is make sure I buy the car variant next and avoid that bstard £210 a year tax as opposed to £30 for the car !

I didn't know they did that for vans, always thought it was done by emissions etc if it's after 2001? Never owned a van though so I can't comment.
Just claim back the unused tax now it's gone.

#13: Re: Whats the verdict folks! Author: Yorkie, Posted: Sun Sep 23, 2012 3:29 am ---- Phoned the insurance yesterday again and the girl has accepted that she is at fault so a hire car was brought out to me and the 206 was parked up awaiting its fate. A nice 12 plate 207 petrol which I had a bit of a drive last night but tbh am not looking forward to feeding it so it looks like the Vespa is coming out again till the claim is sorted.
