#1: wrong grill?! Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Sep 23, 2012 4:40 pm ---- Hi all,
Can you anyone tell me if I have bought the wrong grill, it mentions on the listing it will fit my gti 180, it fits on alright but doesn't cover the whole bumper with spacing at the top, hardly notice unless you look down.
As returns are accepted I can get my money back, just need to make sure first as I know they are both for sport bumpers..
Thanks !

#3: Re: wrong grill?! Author: Bigbenj_08, Location: CardiffPosted: Sun Sep 23, 2012 4:55 pm ---- Tow hook holes are in slightly different positions?
but the standard bumper 206 doesn't have any numberplate overlap. Sure its fitted properly? Pics?

Turns out it was from a GT bumper and quite rare. Made a few quid on it iirc. It won't fit a normal GTi bumper because as mentioned above the tow eye is slightly different. I don't think I have seen one like this since I had that tbh.

Author: Uz, Location: No Man's LandPosted: Sun Sep 23, 2012 5:21 pm ---- If you look carefully at the first one you can see the cut out for where the tow surround fits into and by the looks of it the welds have come apart and just needs fitting back into place with a few spot welds.
#8: Re: wrong grill?! Author: Matt, Posted: Mon Sep 24, 2012 3:44 am ---- As said, first one is for a GT bumper. Second one is the or you need.
Out of interest, can you pm me the name of the seller? Actual name, not eBay ID please

I noticed this as well, the mesh has a hole lower down and it looks like the toe eye surround is just resting on the top.

I only have the address.
If you won it on eBay, the email which notifies you that you won it, should have the NAME and ADDRESS of the seller on it.
