Problem Installing SP Pedals To HDi
-> 206 Problems

#1: Problem Installing SP Pedals To HDi Author: Jaeger, Location: UK PostPosted: Mon Oct 08, 2012 4:33 am
    ----
I am trying to install GTi (SP) pedals.
I have HDi standard ones so I will have to drill holes.
But I cannot get all the way to the back (last hole).
Is it possible to remove the pedals (complete arm) and drill it in a vise and put it back?
And will it take long?

Also will a GTi gas pedal arm fit an HDi?
The clutch and brake look easy to do but the gas looks tricky, if I can replace with GTi then I will do that.

Thanks

I just drilled mine, took a few minutes, used masonary bits and it went through reasonably quick

When i did mine years ago i bent the top of the pedal so i could get the drill onto it.

I removed the rubbers, and used this to attach the SP pedals to the standard ones...

...no drilling required, just applied to some of that to each SP pedal and held it in place for 5 mins (enough time for the goo to set in) and they've been on for the last 18 months with no problems.
