Why has overspray been allowed to get on the wheel arch liners on the Astra? Even though it's on the back of them they should have been removed or masked.

Edward, if you look a little closer you will see that the arch liner has acturly been removed and the back of that is the metal base. Even though the arch liner will cover this we always underseal arch liners when finished, as we did on the supra. There is no point in masking this area up, its always full of muck and you never find a easy surface to mask to. Plus if you pasting a transparent colour, the pressure on the gun will be high and at this point a small opening on a masked panel will allow overspray to entire. You always no matter how good your masking is get area's of over spraying, hence why you allow up to 2 days for flatting, polisihing and rectification works.

The pink in itself is an awesome awesome colour, extreamly hard to spray, mega perly.

I also have finished pictures of the supra now, with new wheels and having been fully valleted by the guys. Owner was over the moon and has booked his girlfriends and his mates supra in for immediate work.

On the spoiler side of things, it looks like thats been sprayed from factory on the plastic gel coat (which arguably is a primer). However there is some type of reaction going on there (I would guess involing heat and solvents escaping from the plastic).

The remady would to be sand the spoiler back down, lay primer on heavily and then respray. The paint looks very thin there as well.

Hi mate,

Smoothing the side strips is a massive task, there are fixing holes and a hard swag line to rebuild.

Colour coding them is pretty easy, If there textured then I will say £121 to spray both sides.

Hope that helps!
