Deadlocking retrofit
-> 206 Problems

'Fitted a replacement BSI with old 2-button key (UK).

What would be needed to take advantage of the second button for dead-locking?

As I recall there is one wire chopped on the connector (lock-side) even though the loom
doesn't have a line for it as is. So locks might be deadlocking already.

Both relays (normal & deadlocking) click fine with key.

You would need the deadlocking door lock motors ( there's no deadlock on the tailgate )

Pretty sure its SUPERLOCKING in the BSI configuration you need as well.

No idea on the wiring, I dont do non plexed 206 Laughing

Donor car had deadlocking already and I have a feeling my locks fitted at the moment are DL, just not connected on that wire.

Both rellays click fine for normal and DL modes in the BSI.

The deadlock door locks normally have a bulge sticking out at the bottom of the unit where the 2nd motor is located.

I have the wiring diagram if it's needed. Looks like 5 wires on the non deadlocking motor compared to 8 on the deadlocking one

Great, thanks.

My aim is to add another line from BSI to the locks and change lock mechanisms if needed.

@macca, changed locks on the 'other' 206 and it was 5-pin DL ones I used.
Rear doors are permenantely DL on that one now, only when locked.

Brilliant, thankyou gents.

Macca you're right, 9-pin for front locks and 5 pin for rear ones it is.
