#271: Re: MattyP's 180 Project - Update pg18 Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Sun Sep 14, 2014 10:16 am ---- today got 1 step closer to having the cage fitted, washed the car and decided to remove the rear seats
will be leaving the rear seat belts in until I have everything ready, i.e the cage and everything to tidy the rear inc install, only issue I had was trying to remove the seat belt clips, bloody bolt wouldn't undo lol
Sticking with 17's mate, don't like 16's lol they should be just as light as the pro race 1.2's but def alot lighter than the standard wheels
Fair enough. Looking good so far though man!
Going to be nosy and ask what are you using to secure the box in the boot? Looks like velcro straps?
Been looking for something to secure a slightly bigger bag/box for some essentials and quick detailing stuff.

No not velcro, these are proper straps which were standard with the car and are riveted to the boot wall
#274: Re: MattyP's 180 Project - Update pg19 no rear seats Author: Barking, Location: sarcasm-in-shedloadsPosted: Sun Sep 14, 2014 4:40 pm ---- Don't forget that even without rear seats your car is still registered as a 4-seater - so your insurance company will need to know. Your car could fail the MOT without rear seats too. Just a warning!

They work out a couple of quid each from your friendly Peugeot dealer

Thanks mate, will bare that in mind, just renewed my insurance literally and mot is due in march but i been using the same garage for the last 7yrs so they might be ok with it but will double check and if needs be the rear seats will go back in and an awesome install will be made
Just spoke to the garage, they've said that if there's nothing fitted to do with the rear seats, i.e. the seats, seatbelts and the seatbelt buckles then it won't fail the mot

My GTi 138 failed the MOT because it had 180 seats (4-seater) but was registered as a 5-seater on the V5C.
Maybe the tester was just envious
