#46: Re: MattyP's 180 Project - couple of goodies Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Sat Jan 05, 2013 9:38 am ---- gave the 180 a well deserved clean this morning, this gave me an opportunity to fit my side repeaters and my info sticker, was going to fit my new rear lights but had to leave the nuts with a bit of wd40 as they are really tight and I forgot there's not much room for large hands lol also debadged the tailgate of the lion badge and personally I like it alot more!!
As the car stands at the mo;
new side repeaters, crystal black
info sticker and tax disc holder (already on car when purchased)
I have no idea what the green hexagon sticker means so if anyone does know i would be interested to find out please.
I also got a set of richbrook seat covers from my nan, people will hate them but I really wanted them to protect the leather and alcantara
I was hoping to get my janspeed this wknd too but due to tax end of the month it will have to wait until next payday, in the mean time I aim to fit my alpine hu with stalk adaptor, fit my rear lights and peugeot oem rear mudflaps Last edited by MattyP on Tue Feb 18, 2014 12:47 pm; edited 1 time in total

also painting the upper sp grilles using smooth black hammerite spray, touch wood they'll turn out ok, if not they'll just go to the bodyshop to be sprayed
Might possibly have a janspeed in under 2 wks, chap who bought luke saunders' old system is selling up so couldn't really say no when he offered it to me and can finally be rid of the horrible banging noise the back box makes

Good lad! Janspeed FTW!, Also I think my mate who's having my 180 is stripping it back to standard so the typhoon should be coming off so I can direct him your way in a few months if your looking for one of them.

Cheers mate, would really appreciate it will be after the typhoon kit but certainly in no rush as it'll be powdercoated black before fitting. Is he a member on here or will be joining up?

went to fit my rear lights to be confronted with a dilemma, they bloody didn't come with any bulbs
I can't be arsed to remove the bulbs from my ph2 lights, was going to order some silvatec or rainbow indicator bulbs anyway

Personally I hate fake carbon wrap but I guess it's a cheap alternative. I'd consider carbon dipping after what Luke showed me the other day.

It might happen but I doubt it'll be noticeable.
It was only £10 for complete ashtray inc delivery so was a bargain but i think i might have to have a chat with luke ref carbon dipping.
the sooner i can get the lights on the better

The video I saw on CF dipping makes it look real. If it's as good as it looks in the videos and is a fair bit cheaper than real CF I'd go for it.
I'm a fan of stock lights but those aftermarkets are ones I'd buy :).

i do like the stock lights, especially on mine, mine are smoked but you can get the unsmoked units which my brother has on his 180, they used to be on my old moonstone which sometimes appears on the top of the homepage
