#1: Intermittent EML warning Author: goldpug206, Location: on the drivePosted: Sat Nov 03, 2012 12:19 pm ---- The car is a 2005 1.4 petrol manual.
Recently the coil pack went and then ran fine once I replaced it with a new one, except for a little bit of an eratic idle which went as low as 620 and as high as 860, this settled down and it hovered ever so slightly around 750.
Recently the engine management light has been coming on intermittently and when it does it has a slight misfire and is underpowered. I took the coil pack back and had it replaced for another new one but no difference, i have also replaced the plugs for the recommended bosch ones, iirc.
This only happens now and then but is becoming more common, maybe twice a week.
This all seems to reset itself if i leave the car for 10 minutes and then go back, then all is well and the EML has gone out and the car runs fine.
The thing i have noticed is that this seems to only happen when the enngine gets warm, there are no other links or hints to advise of.
I will have the ecu read tomorrow for fault codes.
Could this be the MAF sensor? I have also noticed it is using more petrol at the moment.

What a t***er. It was a straight forward question. Go play with your toys.
Unbelievable

The PM function is ideal to send information to another member when you don't want the whole world to see it..
What's the point of asking for help if you can't supply all the information needed to help diagnose the problem.

Is this site full of keyboard warriors? I asked a simple question and got smart a**e answer from a person who has a signature more suited to themselves and now other warrior comes on and finishes his answer with a dumb ass sentence.
#12: Re: Intermittent EML warning Author: goldpug206, Location: on the drivePosted: Sun Nov 11, 2012 11:35 am ---- Only reply to my question if you are genuinely going to offer assistance. keyboard warriors need not reply.
Thanks

Can't answer anything about the live data because alls I know is that you drive a gold 2005 206 powered by a TU3 engine and a BVM5 transmission.
Can you not read my last post?
Are there any grown ups on here who know what they are talking about and are willing to help others?
Or is this site over run with teenage masturbators flicking between the many ;) ;) sites on the web. All high on juvenile endorphins gained from self inflicted sexual gratification over images of men or women they would never have a chance with in real life?
#15: Re: Intermittent EML warning Author: Ciucur, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Thu Nov 22, 2012 3:08 am ---- Did you manage to find the source of the problem? Mine has the EXACT same problem, I couldn't describe it better myself.
