white dials on 206 Sport (2006)

does anyone know if all 2006 sport models should have white dials? if you've seen my previous post you will see that I've bought a car which I am having serious doubts about - the one i've bought doesn't have white dials but log book says its sport model (and it has all the other sport kit). just trying to work out if it's dodgy or not.

It could be a case that a previous owner has replaced the dials in favor of the current ones, due to interior styling, or to replace damaged dials.

thanks - I'm concerned it could relate to the mileage being clocked as things wrong mechanically with car don't fit with the low mileage it has.

I believe, (not 100%), that if a new dash unit is purchased and had a lower mileage on it, then it will adjust its indicator to show the original mileage for the car; however if you buy a dash unit that has more miles on it than the car does, then the indicated number will not change to the correct mileage, and stay on the higher one.

I guess the only thing you could do is to go through the service history and check the mileage at each stage and try and estimate from that what you think it should be at.

The mileage is logged in the BSI unit and if you put clocks in with a lower mileage, it should go to the correct mileage. If you put clocks in with a higher mileage, it automatically goes to that mileage. Odd system, but it prevents clocking.

The mileage should also be recorded on the MOTs, so you should be able to check up on here.

You can see what your car left the factory with on Servicebox.
If you want, PM me your VIN and I'll send you the characteristics that are listed for it.

Why go on Google and search when I have already posted a link to it.
