1.1 MIL light on some times - P0203 and P0505

Hi

Engine light has been coming on intermittently (normally clears after re-start) on my daughters 206 1.1 (2002 '51 plate 65K). Just checked the codes and it is reporting P0203 and P0505.

Generic code tables report P0203 as cylinder 3 injector malfunction and P0505 as idle control malfunction.

Car has been running fine and idle speed is rock solid, no stalling reported.

Edit: Having listened with he bonnet up it is hunting very slightly at idle.

Plugs are due for a change (have been meaning to get around to that - so will do anyway).

Any thoughts?

Steve

Plugs changed now - gaps were pretty wide on the old ones - couldn't see any noticeable difference in the condition of number 3 plug. Slight hunting still seemed to be there after - although this stopped when I gave the idle value connector a push.

Will have to wait and see if the MIL light comes on again.

Assuming the P0203 is an injector issue what is it most likely to be - the injector itself for the injector loom.

Monitoring - no sign of MIL light today. Will report back later in the week.

All good still - so assuming the codes must have been cause by a slight misfire (either plug on its way out or just the result of high load and wide plug gaps).
