#1: Pugfest 14/07/13 Author: PSCUK PostPosted: Sun Jan 20, 2013 10:54 am
    ----
Dear Club representative,

I'd like to formally invite you to attend Pugfest 2013, the annual gathering for the Peugeot Sport Club UK and the largest all Peugeot show (and associated brands) in the UK.

With non-competitive hill climb runs, show and shine competitions, concours examples, traders and other invited Peugeot/associated clubs, there is always something different to see including some interesting vehicles provided by Peugeot and other collections.

Pugfest 13 will be again held at Prescott Hill, Gotherington, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 9RD (our 11th year at this superb venue) and next year's show will be held on Sunday 14th July 2013.

As an invited related club please could you confirm your attendance, giving an estimate of how many vehicles will be attending, whether any of your vehicles would want to run up the hill climb and provide a contact name, phone number, postal address and email address from your club to whom we should contact regarding the organisation of the event. This will allow us to liaise with Prescott Hill and to suitably accommodate your club. We understand that you may require some time to discuss this with your club and Committee members.

The Show opens at 9.00 and closes at 17.00. Entrance is £10 per car for non club members, £20 including camping on Saturday night and the hill runs are £6 each.

Could I please ask that you contact myself as soon as possible via email to editor @ pscuk.net.
Your support is appreciated.

Thanks

Richard Shorrock
Editor, PSCUK

I'd love to go to this for the first time, and the prices are great. Can we use this thread for members to post interest in going

I don't mind helping to organise our attendance but would want some assistance because chasing up members that say they are interested then not hearing from them again is a bit of a problem

If anyone is coming off the M6 at junction 7 @ Pershore or junction 6 @ Worcester... we can all meet at mine for 9am and from mine it's 10 mins.

Or you can also come up the A435 and meet in Evesham and it's a straight road from there.

Only 1 hour from me. Just need to check the date but fancy a run up the hill so definitely looking to come. Do we need to take a helmet or anything?

Hi all, it's great to see some interest on here for this event. Helmets are not required to run up the hill as it is private land and not timed, cars do not need an MOT although they must be in a road worthy condition.

Here’s a little update for you all;

Why not make your Pugfest 13 experience even better and camp at the site so you feel fresh and raring to go on Sunday morning - or perhaps not after several beers!
All camping tickets are pre-paid only please so that we can manage the volume of attendees and plan the pitch space this way.
We are looking into setting up afternoon and evening entertainment to build a 'club spirit' for 2013's show and more information will follow soon in this regard.
Tickets will be on sale in the PSCUK shop (accessed via www.pscuk.net) in May 2013 for PSCUK members and early June 2013 for non members.

Ticket prices for 2013 are as follows:
Members camping
£15 (fully paid PSCUK members, valid membership number required)
This includes your entrance ticket, allows you to park in the paddock area, entrance to the show from 07:30 and allows you to camp the night before whilst sampling a beer or five with your mates. The campsite gates will be open from 14:00 on the Saturday and this year will be closing at 21:00. There will be no further entry after 21:00. Advance booking only please. Turning up on Saturday afternoon to try and camp will unfortunately result in being turned away!
Non members camping
£20
This includes your entrance ticket to the Sunday show from 09:00 and allows you to camp the night before whilst sampling a beer or five with your mates. This ticket does not include parking in the paddock area [specially invited clubs are potential exceptions to this, subject to space]. The campsite gates will be open from 14:00 on the Saturday and this year will be closing at 21:00. There will be no further entry after 21:00. Advance booking only please. Turning up on Saturday afternoon to try and camp will unfortunately result in being turned away!

Please can we ask that all invited club members arrange between themselves to meet up off site and travel in convoy to the gates on the Sunday morning, this will allow the gate staff to park you quickly and together.

Please can your club representative inform our PSCUK Committee member (Richard Shorrock) by email to editor @ pscuk.net with an estimate of your clubs numbers by 15th May, this will allow us to plan out where to situate your club at the venue.

Camping rules (Sorry, now the boring bit!)
So that we can make this event enjoyable for all and ensure that we can return to Prescott in 2014, please make every effort to follow these rules; failure to do so may result in you being ejected from the site:
Arrival/Departure
Pitches are available from noon on the Saturday. You are requested to vacate your pitch by 16:00 on Sunday please. Camping tickets must be shown on arrival.
Late Arrivals
The last arrival is by 21:00 and no admittance will be granted after 21:00 with no exceptions, sorry.
Pitches
Please note that due to fire regulations you must pitch your tent away from the vehicle car parks. The pitches are planned to be around a central Marquee and you will be directed to an area to pitch your tent.
Speed Limit
The speed limit on-site is 5mph. Amy person found damaging the grass by driving recklessly will be asked to leave.
Generators
Generators are allowed but cannot be used beyond 22:00. In addition, based on issues at previous Pugfest events, no sleeping in cars with/without engines running will be allowed.
Barbecues
Because of the danger of damaging the grassed camping area, open fires are not allowed on-site. Barbecues may be lit provided they are raised off the ground and are in a suitable container. Please ensure the smoke and fumes do not annoy other site users.
Pets
We do not allow pets onto the site under any circumstances, sorry.
Noise
Please keep noise at a level which will not disturb other site users, especially between 00:00 and 07:00. No loud music that can be heard by other campers after midnight please.
Toilet facilities
There is a block of toilets and one (1) shower at Prescott for all to use, free of charge.
Cleanliness
We make every effort to keep the site facilities clean and tidy and ask for your assistance in maintaining this standard by using the refuse and recycling bins provided, and by leaving all facilities clean after use.

As long as you are a PSCUK member or a member of an invited club, then yes.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions! Would love to go to this.

I know this is an odd one but what are the rules regarding age, just that I assume the Venue is rented meaning that it is up to the discretion of the Organisers who can go up the Hill?

Tickets for both PSCUK members and non-members are now on sale in the PSCUK on-line shop (http://shop.psooc.com/index.php?rout...tegory&path=38)

PSCUK members who are also part of an invited club can purchase the cheaper PSCUK members ticket and still park with their invited club if they wish. Non members should purchase the invited club tickets.

Both PSCUK members and non members can run up the hill, only PSCUK members may enter the show and shine.

Thanks for your support

To save spamming the attendees thread, are we doing a group buy on tickets, or just getting them on our own accord through the pugfest website?

Just a quick note to say that tickets for this years Pugfest event are currently on sale and will END BEING ON SALE AS OF MIDNIGHT ON 30th JUNE 2013. This gives the PSCUK Committee time to dispatch the tickets and allocate parking for your invited club. Tickets are available in the online shop at shop.psooc.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=38. Failure to purchase a ticket for your invited club prior to the event will result in parking in the public car park.

Thanks for your support and see you at Pugfest,

As Haye said I won't be eating due to fasting but I will be taking in fluids so will be bringing drinks along so everyone will be welcome to help yourself. I can do the food side of the fast but, with the temperatures being how high they are it's a nightmare due to dehydration.

Ah that's rather unfortunate timing! As we'll be having a barbecue tonight, I'll bring along the relevant fuels.
I think we have some burger rolls too. We also have plenty of red onions, so will chop a few up and bring them along too.

If you have any comments about the weekend then please let me know (email to editor @ pscuk.net) and I will pass this onto our clubs Chairman and Committee, your feedback will be used when planning next years event.

Hope to see you there next year.
