#1: Slipping wheels Author: Chrisb, Posted: Sun Feb 03, 2013 10:49 am ---- I think all this is related to the same problem and just after advice on what it could possibly be before I take it in to a mechanics
I've got a 206 LX 1.1 00 plate (w) , I've noticed that when I full lock and drive forwards slowly it feels like the wheels are slipping, moving away and it's like there it's a judder up to the steering wheel, you can har what sounds like slipping
Going over speed bumps it feels like I'm about to bounce of the road, I can also feel just about every small crack In the road, feels like the wheels are reacting to every stone on the road
If I hit a bit of a crack or man-hole cover it feels like the car is trying to pull me over to that side.
The steering feels ok, maybe a bit light and sometimes a bit of wobble from the uneven road through it.
I had the wheels aligned 6 weeks ago and they was off by 8mm but this has been corrected so I'm wondering what my issue could be.
If anyone can help I'd appreciate it

Cheapest option (as most of the guys on here would tell you) is to get the parts from Euro Car Parts and fit yourself. If you are not able to diagnose the problem take it to a garage and they should check all suspension for you for free. They will then quote to fix and you can make your decision then...

Sometimes it seems like people are put off going to the garage in case you are ripped off. If you think you have an issue with the car and you get a garage to check if there is a problem. It's does not mean you have to get them to do the work. Probably a good idea to get a couple of garages to check it. Especially if you are like me and don't have any idea what you are looking for
Also in my experience the issue is never as big or as expensive as you expect. But ignoring the issue can cause a more expensive issue later on.
