Apart from the fault code what symptons does the car itself have? Is it not reving, failing MOT emmission tests or something else?

symptons:

-when i press the trottle pedal more that +/- 50% the car die, lose power, over 50% the car works fine.
- if i disconnect the VVT selenoid this does not happen, only when i pass the 5500 rpm the car die again, lose power, independent of the trottle pedal.

the trottle body work fine, open 100% when the car is stopped and press the trottle pedal, but whit the engine running happens the problem.

The car does not have catalytic, but the 2 OX sensor are conected.
the OX sensor 1 works between 0.700-0.950 volts, and the second sensor works between 0.600-0.900 volt.

sorry for my inglish

And did you find the problem? How did you solved it?
At the moment I've the same trouble, we are looking now at the intake camshaft pully but I'm not sure.

My code's are:

P1160
P1161

Throttle body is fine indeed.
When starting the engine idle is fine but after a few seconds it roars like hell. When driving there is no power.
