#1: Interior light swap Author: Tolkienfan001, Location: SpaldingPosted: Wed Feb 27, 2013 4:29 pm ---- Is it possible to swap the interior light in my 2005 sport for one with a map reading light like the gti's have?
Would it be plug and play or would I need to re wire it? If so what is the best way and what should I look out for (common mistakes)?
Thanks

The connector plug for the map light MAY already be there but without having a look its 50/50 chance
If the connector isn't there then you will need to wire it up your self.

Not really experienced with car electrics. Do I need special wires? Do I come off existing wires and tape or use joining blocks?
Thanks

I borrowed the connector plug out the 206 I got the map light from.

A continuety meter will tell you which is which.
