My stupid question is. Since I did only have those car that I did not have to worry about BSI thing. I could just disconnect the - of battery when I left my home for travel and reconnect when I am back home and it's fine.
I will have to travel aboard for two weeks. I am traveling a lot and each time I asked my neighbor to start my car every three days two times a week.
Last time my neighbor also left home so I left my car for three weeks when I come back all battery power has drained off and I have to call service maintenance from Peugeot which they charged me like 30 GBP for just resetting BSI.
May I ask you question. I have been looking at the thread about disconnect reconnect battery reset BSI which is super useful.
If I disconnect battery follow by that procedure from the thread. Can I left my car with battery disconnect for two weeks and is it going to be fine when I am back and reconnect it again. I used to disconnect the - one only with my old car and when I am back even left the car for a month the re connection is always work.

#2: Re: (Stupid question I guess)disconnect battery Author: mtempsch, Location: Gothenburg, SwedenPosted: Fri Mar 01, 2013 12:47 pm ---- 2 weeks should be no problem, unless there's already an internal fault in the battery causing rapid self discharge - and then it would be time for a new battery soon anyway (this fall my battery was failing - worked fine if I drove the car daily, but if I left it over the weekend it was flat on Monday morning, not even a hint of cranking... After the second time starting by hooking up a spare battery with jumper cables I replaced it.)

Hi Thank you for your prompted reply. I have just changed my battery from when my last time I left the car for one month and when I was back from travel battery was not in a good condition as it was about 2 years already so I decided to change to a new battery and this one was only six months old.
Thank you so I will just disconnect the battery to safe from the battery drain for two weeks. Thanks a lot
