#1: Peugeot 206 1.4 LX Questions Author: Speighty, Posted: Fri Mar 22, 2013 5:26 pm ---- My 206 has the problem of the cooling fan kicking in if the car reaches 90 degrees, i have been told the bearings have gone and it needs replacing, im just not 100% sure if i need just the fan or the whole unit, could someone point me in the right direction.
The next question is not really a problem, just want to know peoples views, i want to lower the car 40mm and my mechanic has advised to not even bother trying to lower the torsion bar on the existing axle and replace it with a refurbished one, is this a good idea or would you ask him to try and use the axle i have now.

if your planning on keeping the car for some time then lowering could be worth while, however sounds like it could be quite rusted if hes advisd to have a refurbished one, so it might be worth checking other vital areas of the car for signs of rust?
