Rear window not closing properly, any ideas?

#1: Rear window not closing properly, any ideas? Author: dappsy95 PostPosted: Tue Apr 02, 2013 11:33 am
    ----
Bought a 2001, 3 door, 206 a couple of weeks back, and after washing it recently i found that the passenger side rear window doesn't quite close properly and leaks a little bit.
Hasn't leaked in the rain yet, but under the pressure of the hose it did let a little bit in.
Found out that the window doesn't quite close properly and pushing on it from the outside shows it can definitely close a little further.

Does anybody have any ideas on how i can get it to close properly?

Thanks in advance

Don't recall the closing mechanism or hinges being adjustable, but take a look at it anyways - my memory can fail...

Other than that the only real fix would be new seals - or possibly a 'bodge' I saw in a car show: feeding an [suitably sized re outer diameter and wall thickness] extra rubber hose into the seal to make it thicker and puff out more.

I assume you've checked it's the actual window seal that's leaking? I've had 2 of the seals around the holes for the hinges/closing mech fail under a pressure washer and let in a little water - replacements were inexpensive from Peugeot.
