#1: abs pump Author: bigbadwolf, Posted: Tue Apr 09, 2013 1:11 pm ---- Hi My girlfriend has a Peugeot 206 HDI 2006 It failed mot the other day due to abs warning light staying on!! The local garage could not fix it said probably be elec fault auto elec could not find a problem, time for a visit to local Peugeot main dealers for diognostics chech. Apparently it needs a new abs braking system pump at a cost of £800 approx, and best part of a grand fitted!! Just wanted a few oppinions as what to do! as its more than what we were expecting!! Thanks.

I dont know alot about ABS but it might be the abs sensor, or cracked abs ring at the least, there fairly cheap to buy and a decent garage wont charge much for the fitting. Could be something more serious though, Best of get it code read first

If brakes working ok, with abs light on, doubt it will be pump.
More than likely abs rings kaput, just had mine changed, unfortunately abs light still on, just got it code read £10
front n/s sensor fault, gonna check it tomoz, now weathers got better.
Hope this helps before garages start to rip you off.
