#1: 206 gti temp Author: jay651, Location: somersetPosted: Thu May 16, 2013 5:17 pm ---- got a bit of a niggle had a issue with the temp gauge on my gti when I used her on the road (18 months ago) just started to sort her out for track days and the like but basicly when I turn my ignition on my temp gauge goes straight to half and goes upto red and back down with the engine running but I have a temp probe in there and she isn't getting above 90 I also have the far wiring issue to sort as I hard wired the fan on a switch but will put it back to standard shortly
does anyone no which sensor is the gauge one
I am a diesel fitter for a ag dealer but im not so good with fiddly little petrols and had quite the sence of humour failure changing the cam belt and water pump
anyway thanks for your help

#5: Re: 206 gti temp Author: jay651, Location: somersetPosted: Sat May 18, 2013 3:59 pm ---- so I should be able to rule that one out as it runs sweet with non mill light or anything or would it still run ok if it had failed at half?
#6: Re: 206 gti temp Author: jay651, Location: somersetPosted: Mon May 20, 2013 4:31 pm ---- its not the temp sender changed that so could be faulty gauge?
