Making a claim for windscreen damage doesn't normally affect your NCB but it can affect next years premium as it's a claim.

This varies from company to company so you would need to read the small print in your schedule, but remember that you also have to declare the claim for 5 years as it will be held on the CUE database and failing to disclose the claim could cause your policy to be cancelled, which again is even more of a headache as the premium will increase for having had insurance cancelled.
