#1: HELP!! COMMS 2000 unit Author: ed2k12, Posted: Tue Jun 11, 2013 5:06 pm ---- Hi
I am having a problem with my wiper fluid not coming out; there is no pumping sound when I pull for the fluid to come out.
I have been to a small local garage who say that it the motor is fine and are suggesting that it is an electrical problem.
I am thinking of maybe getting a new comms unit for my 51 plate lx 2002 but have had problems finding a compatible one can anyone help?
The indicator is not in the best of shape so could do with replacing for that reason but when I do pull for the wiper fluid to get ejected the wipers do wipe a couple of times as when the fluid did come out so does that mean the garage is wrong and that the signal is getting through or not?
Thanks

You could check fuse 14 in the engine bay. Looking at the wiring diagram, there are also a couple of relays you could check.
For piece of mind, I'd check the pump myself and then check voltage is getting to the pump when you pull the stalk (wires 500 and 542). Then it's just a case of working backwards.

If there is not 12V,then you have a problem with your com2000,if there is a 12V ,then the motor is dead.
