#1: Odd paint damage on the bonnet. Author: Jack123, Location: Earl Shilton UKPosted: Wed Jul 03, 2013 12:07 pm ---- Just had the car cleaned today, and noticed these marks on the bonnet:
This is the only photo where you can really see it at all:
Got these however too:
The mark is just above the Power Steering pump, can't see any marks on the underside of the bonnet, the mark is smooth to the touch, but not as smooth as the paintwork around it.
Any idea's what could of caused it, not noticed it before.
Not to overly fussed about it, the car is getting on a bit, just wondering if anyone has any idea what could of caused it, I'm leaning towards heat?
Cheers.

From what I know, its never been machined polished.

Cars been in the family since it left the dealership, Two owners (Well, 4 on the logbook but we've swapped a few times) and its never had any repair work done on the bonnet.
I was more worried if something in the engine could of caused it, but because of its location it seems unlikely, Yet it seems to be under the surface... could it of faded possibly? I really am at a loss.

Yeah I guess, I can't remember there being any bird muck on the bonnet, its weird as the surface of the paint feels OK.
Its fine, thanks for the help, I'll just have to live with it, haha.
