gti engine replacement

hi think my 206 rings are fryed or valve stem seals as shes slowly getting worse at blue smokeing my question is my car is a pre plex year 2000 car will a multi plex engine fit if I swap sensors and every across or is it a completely different engine? also would it be hard work to convert her to a 180 engine or is there more to it then a engine loom and gearbox?

Engines are engines and don't change with electrical systems.

Try and stick with the preplex Gti engine, although the later one is exactly the same, bar a few different bolt holes. All things will swap over easily though.

180 conversion could be done, but its a lot of wiring to swap, as well as BSI and ECU.
