So yesterday coming off the m6 I approach the roundabout. Come to a stop to give way, I then go to pull off and my foot sinks into the clutch pedal with a nice click/crunch noise. From then it stalled and took a couple of attempts to start, finally starts and I slowly pulling away, very hard to get to any other gears.
I had recently be quoted on a new clutch at a near garage (my bearing is rather loud) and dropped it off there. About 5 mins before I get to the garage my clutch comes back and performs as should?
The garage has just rang saying they can't find an issue?
Any thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated.

However a cabloe is about £40 and can't be reused. If your thrust bearing is genuinely noisy you might still consider doing both jobs at once. Of course your bearing may be noisy because the clutch cable auto adjuster is failing.
I bet which ever you decide to do will, in the longer run, be proven to be wrong. That is life!

For the piece of mind I have gone for a full new clutch kit, rather noisy and high so to me it was due.

Do not let them fob you off that the existing cable is OK. The cable will probably operate nicely but because the auto adjustment can't be reset reusing the existing cable will trash your clutch, pressure plate or thrust bearing very quickly. Also please use a true genuine Peugeot cable bought from Peugeot as they are far superior.
More expensive yes but I wouldn't use a pattern cable on my car.
