#1: 206 2.0 HDi Diesel EGR Valve Author: fragg, Posted: Sun Sep 01, 2013 1:59 pm ---- Its been a bit lumpy on start up so i took the black cover off and noticed the silver pipe coming off the Egr valve is damaged. Can i just buy that pipe and replace it or have i got to buy the whole thing?

If the EGR pipework is leaking gasses yes it could cause issues

I seen that you can un plug the blue wire behind the egr valve or blank the black pipe ?
It LOOKS like the EGR valve pipework isn't blanked, but exhaust gasses should be sealed by the EGR valve itself when it is closed. To make sure EGR is disabled and stays closed, remove the blue plug from the EGR electrovalve as you mentioned. Then, you will notice on the EGR electrovalve is two rubber vacuum hoses, one goes to the EGR valve and the other goes to the vacuum source. Disconnect the rubber hose that goes to the vacuum source from the EGR electrovalve and plug the rubber hose with a bolt and some sealant.
If you have a KWP2000 or Galetto I can even remove the EGR function from your ECU completely but it is optional. Just doing the above only causes a hidden error code so no real need to do this.
On the inlet side, where the pipe should go into (the hole) should be an opening, but yours looks blanked somehow, or full of EGR gunk.... I can't tell it looks a bit weird. Either way it will need to be blanked on the inlet side too if not already otherwise there will be boost leak (poor running & smoke).

The inlet side should be fine with standard fleabay blanks.
