#1: Idle problems Author: Aimon, Posted: Thu Sep 05, 2013 1:26 pm ---- My 206 2001 1.1L has the following problems:
at start, The rpm reaches 3000 and then it is reduced to 2000 and remains at 2000
at run, I feel as if the accelerator is pressed by itself
At idle, the motor speed may be reduced for a moment and then it retains its speed at once.
at runing, when the geer is changed the torque of movement may be delayed because of the intermittent reduction of motor speed.
Motor managment light may come on for long time during runnung
Can you help me??
#2: Re: Idle problems Author: kandlbarrett, Location: SwindonPosted: Mon Sep 09, 2013 1:07 pm ---- In, I think, most likely order:-
Air leak on inlet or one of the breather hoses?
Badly routed throttle cable? (Is this cable or fly by wire?) If flyby wire defective Throttle Position Sensor or throttle body motor.
Loose or damaged electrical connection on any of the many sensors?
Defective / dirty MAP sensor?
defective lambda sensor?
Defective CAT?
