hey guys, recently had a new tyre put on the front. the other side also needs replacing as its almost illegal! My problem is since the new tyre has been put on the car it wants to steer the same side the new tyre was put on (right). what causing this? the steering wheel isnt vibrating so it cant be wheel balance, the wishbones need doing to but like i said it only started once the new tyre was on so ive ruled those out. Surely its not the tracking or tie rod ends as they havnt been touched.... could a new tyre put the alignment out? or is it the wishbones/tie rod ends?

Tyres should be replaced in pairs. I suggest you get the other tyre replaced with the same make as the new one. Get the wishbones replaced and get the wheels aligned.

If its only just happened it could be down to having a new tyre one side & an 'almost illegal' tyre the other side. Replace the dodgy tyre & get the tracking checked for peace of mind.

Your worn wishbones will trash your new tyre very quickly indeed; possibly as soon as 2,000 miles or less!
Get the wishbones done urgently, a second new tyre and then a full four wheel alignment. Don't bother with manual 2 wheel alignment as most users of that equipment aren't careful enough to set your car up as accurately as it needs or you deserve.
