#1: new comms unit auto lights help Author: donnypaul81, Posted: Tue Sep 10, 2013 3:44 am ---- Hi everyone I fitted a new Delphi comms unit to my 206 2.0 hdi which cured the indicator problems I had only thing is I can't turn the auto lights off I've pressed the auto button in for over 4 seconds with the key turned to the first notch but it won't beep or any thing or show it turned off on the center display. I've done a bsi reset which at first the lights stayed off so decided to try with the lights on then turn them off and I'm back to them on all time. I did notice last night the auto lights did not make the clocks light up on the dash either but might do now I've done the bsi reset. I got the correct unit with matching part numbers as well. Any ideas why I can't turn them off ? Or have they come on because the sky is cloudy with no sun ?? Only thing is with having auto lights on and running at all times it burns bulbs out every other month and car is up for sale now as well so needs to be sorted tonight if possible as someo is coming to either part ex or buy the car. I have read that Citroen recalled some cars and vans which they also got stuck with the lights on all time which they had bypassed the auto light switch so have I ended up with 1 of these units as the manufacturer date stamp on it says 2003 ?? Any help will be thanked this afternoon. Oh and if there's a setting in Peugeot planet can someone let me know what to do as I know a young lad with this set up but unsure what to do only basic like clearing fault codes off.

I think you need to hold the button on the indicator stalk with ignition on to disable auto lights. Although they should only light up at night, I doubt its that gloomy in the day at the moment!
There is also a procedure for setting there sensitivity, Google that.

So I will report back after he's had it on computer at weekend see if it's activated.

See since owning the car I've always had this fault after 2 days of owning so don't know if the lights were on all time or not all I can remember is the indicators not working right n lights been messed up.

Sadly the car is going too many problems with electronic equipment which are now all sorted but I will never win another French made car. First the r5gtt 6 grand in parts in 7 months the pug 306 dturbos I had same again electronic problems the saxo vtr electronic problems along with rear axle failures not once but twice and then there's this 206 so never again lol the French design good cars but can't build to last.
