#1: 206sw various issues Author: scott40k PostPosted: Tue Oct 01, 2013 2:43 pm
    ----
Hi Guys,

we currently have a few weird totally random issues just wondering if any one knows the link or had a similar experience :-

1. intermittent headlights turning on when switched off (wiggling the stalk seems to fix it temporarily, also it doesn't turn the lights off by itself luckily).

2. intermittent indicators that turn off on there own before going round the corner switches them off..(again wiggling the stalk makes it work again)

3. Randomly the overheat indicator will flash up STOP and give some message about the engine is at maximum temp, but it almost immediately it switches off then the message clears and the needle drops to normal (although i'm guessing this is a faulty sensor?)

Thanks for any advise/help

Scott.

You can buy a new comms from ECP. £100 - £200 depending on spec and current promos on the site.

In terms of fitting.

BSI battery shutdown - guide on here

Remove airbag, steering wheel, then comms unit. All plugs are easily removed and fitting is reverse.

Then reconnect battery and wake up BSI.

I would say with the list of issues you have, and the common known fault of the Peugeot comms units it will fix your issues.

No not really. There is a chance it could have faults. For the price of a new one from ECP and the better quality of them it's a no brainier. I changed mine a month after getting the car as it failed. I have had no issues with the one from ECP. And I got it for £110 delivered as the had an offer code on at the time.
