#1: No hazards/indicators Author: danhodson, Location: Derby, UKPosted: Sat Nov 16, 2013 11:07 am ---- Despite the relay clicking there are no lights all round or on the dash when initiating the hazards or left/right indicator.
Also when locking/unlocking there are no lights flashing, but I hear the relay!
Can any advise, I'm guessing it may be a fuse problem, but looked at the fuse board and can't make any sense of it!
#2: Re: No hazards/indicators Author: Elreidy, Location: WrexhamPosted: Sat Nov 16, 2013 11:30 pm ---- Had this on my 106 pretty sure was a fuse, have you got a manual handy to correspond with the fuse box, and just try one of the other same ampage fuses to see if the problem travels, would recommend following the disconnection procedure for battery if messing with the electrics, otherwise can be costly!

Remember the hazards are on a separate circuit to the indicators until they reach the BSI. From the BSI it is a shared circuit to the bulbs. Each bulbs has it's own individual feed from the BSI.
Check the maxi fuses (MF1 70amp I think) in the engine bay to make sure nothing has come loose when you had your bump. Also check for any damage to the wiring that could have been caused by the bump.
Reboot the BSI to make sure it's not picked up a glitch.

I've had all the lights and front bumper off, but its now reassembled. I thought a indicator bulb on the nearside had gone, but a volt meter reads through it.

It's possible that a bulb could have been damaged in the impact and is causing a short, although this usually happens in heavy impacts, if the bulb was old and fragile it could have failed.
If all bulbs light up, then it could be a short in the wiring. This is a long tedious process to trace the fault as you need to check the continuity of each wire in turn using a multimeter.

Try taking the cover off and playing around, maybe a wire loose.
I also thought indicators do not have a fuse, that they run through a relay inside the bsi.
Mine does not have fuses anyhow.

Doesn't mean it's OK, it could be shorted (the actual bulb).

Every single thing has a fuse on a car for safety reasons and system integrity.
There are also a few of them on the front part of the BSI (bottom-right of fuses in your cabin group pic).
This is both for mux and non-mux versions of vehicles.
I would definately change that bulb incase filament has shorted, which is rare but certainly does happen.

I disconnected the battery, replaced the fuse and tried again and it worked. I then plugged the two fronts in and all is well exempt near side won't light up. I've tried two bulbs in it and neither work, so could be a faulty connection

I've now got an issue with my radio asking for the code every single time I start the car, almost as if the permanent live isn't working?
