Exhaust alignment
-> 206 Problems

#1: Exhaust alignment Author: James.tur PostPosted: Sun Nov 17, 2013 10:17 am

Hi, I've fitted a sportex 2.5inch twin back box on my 206 xsi 1.6 and it seems to sit fairly low and is not straight... I've tried fixing this a few times but can't seem to solve the problem :/ it seems like the mounting brackets (supplied with exhaust to fit my car) won't pull it to where it needs to sit? I'm thinking of just taking it to a specialist to fix it or waiting until I hopefully get the full exhaust system and maybe I'll get it sitting better but that won't be for a while, any help appreciated.

Put a socket extension bar over the brackets on the car, and bend to position.

try sliding the rubbers along the rails that sometimes helps it tilt a little better also a lot of the backboxes and exhuast parts are made to fit the gti bumpers

Yeah I've had a little play about but just thought I'd ask first, I'll get a pic up soon! Although it doesn't look as good as I want ATM it sounds pretty good for just a back box
