#1: Changing Driveshaft - New Seals? Author: rlees85, Location: DaventryPosted: Wed Nov 20, 2013 12:48 pm ---- Can't find a definitive answer anywhere so your opinions would be appreciated... I need to change a driveshaft at the weekend thanks to the reluctor ring coming off bouncing around and smashing up my CV boot and damaging the CV too...
Just wondered do I need to change the gearbox driveshaft seals also or just leave the old ones in?

Don't forget they are 2 sizes, one for each side. I used the place above for mine when the clutch was done. You could always see if ECP or other local factor near you has any in, or contact Neats and ask them to post them first class.
Obviously check that the seals are compatible with your gearbox before ordering. The above ones are just a guide to take you to the website.

My local factors can get me one for today so I will use that instead... hopefully will be fine
I guess its prise the old one out with a flatblade and then guide the new one in as straight as possible (using a large round item or something to act like a press)?
