#1: FAP removal after "Unblock Diesel Filter" Error Urgent! Author: s3tre2003, Location: CornwallPosted: Thu Nov 28, 2013 4:06 am ---- Hey Guys,
Have got a 1.6 HDi 206 as a daily runner. The car now has 118k on it and up until last week never skipped a beat.
Now im fairly aware of the FAP/DPF issues these cars suffer from. I am getting the unblock diesel filter message appear on the screen. At the moment the car still drives fine (For now).
I was going to get it booked in for the DPF to be removed from the software and the car mapped at the same time.
The thing im struggling with is how to physically remove the DPF, is there a premade pipe for this? The tuner said the DPF must be removed before they can work their magic.
If anyone has any pics/info that would be amazing! Trying to do this as cheap as possible really...as its just a daily runner

Its all booked in for the software on Wednesday... so for now would smashing the insides out be ok?

For the remap, i take they are remaping it right? No, as a change in down pipe would have serious effects on the map
For a quick fix, yes

So just stick with the smashing the insides out and not change the downpipe at all? After speakinf to them they have hundreds of customers that have done this and all has been fine?

Probably be fine, but you wont get as good as gains as a proper down pipe
