#1: cambelt change ? Author: F-O-N-14, Posted: Thu Jan 23, 2014 2:34 pm ---- hi just had a 206 1.48v quiksilver and noticed a noise that increases when revved i was hoping it was just the aux tensioner but no such luck its coming from the cambelt side, so its either the water pump or tensioner so i`m goin to change the lot, its on 107k with no paperwork saying the belt has been done anyway so i was goin to do it at some point but i`m doin it asap now, just wanted to know is it a easy job on these i.e is access pretty good ect? i`ve changed a cambelt before on a vectra 16v so not a noob at it and i would think its not as bad with this being a 8valve.
also i`ve seen this kit on ebay an seems a good price TIMING/CAM BELT KIT & WATER PUMP PEUGEOT 307 1.4 8V 01-03 TU3JP ENGINE | eBay has anyone used this brand and are they ok

The 307 one should fit though. Pretty straight forward to change as long as you lock the cam and crankshafts to avoid the timing slipping.

Personally i always try to get a gates belt kit and one thing i will say is sometimes the waterpump's tend to be stuck in on TU's. Takes a bit of delicate hammer work to get them out!
