Well as the title states im looking to remap my 1.4 hdi. It will be having new cambelt and water pump fitted soon and at 107k what else would be needed for it to handle a remap?

Also is it worth remapping?

I had an RS Tuning remap on mine for nearly five years before all I sold it - same clutch, gearbox and turbo.

Definitely worth doing, you get about 22BHP and 45Nm if someone decent does it.

Just had my 1.6 hdi GTI remapped last Friday from 110bhp to 140bhp. Awesome like a different car and from first impressions would highly recommend it. Not only has it transformed the power but it has also gone from 50 mpg to over 60 mpg on my 40 mile round daily commute Wink

Had mine done at DAV Chip tuning in Eastbourne as it's very local to me. Only had it done as it was in having the DPF delete carried out so as it was there anyway I asked them to remap it. £270 all in. Seems everyday I drive it the mpg creeps up a little more, 64.2 as of tonight Smile
