Peugeot Planet should be able to read it.

Maybe erasing the crash data wasn't such a good idea after all Wink

Guess your right... Suppose didn't cost me anything, just very strange nothing reads the codes. I did think the pre tensioner I replaced the faulty one with was incorrect one but surely this should bring up a fault code. I read somewhere that the belt stalk had to be replaced as well but I can't see anything connected to this.

Completely out of ideas, I'd like to sell this car but completely against selling it with airbag light on, will put insurance on it tomorrow drive it for a week and if they don't disappear its going to the scrap.

Have experience with smashed Peugeot 206's. I'm certain you'll have to take the airbag Ecu out and send it off to get the crash data removed. Estimated cost: £30.00 just search EBay for services.

Or phone Peugeot and they'll bill you for a brand new ecu and fitting. Estimated cost: £600.00!

You can also swap the airbag ecu out of another car. The numbers have to match exactly though. I have a Ecu knocking about. Let me know what serial number you've got on yours. Maybe they'll match. There is a number on the front of the ecu.

Also, getting a replacement ecu from a breakers doesn't guarantee nothing. The one you buy might have been removed from another smashed car.

Also I tried using snap on diagnostic when I had airbag light being displayed on a 206 after accident. Snap on and planet/diagbox couldn't even read a code. There was a airbag light with no codes. If you have this symptom, then you definitely need to remove your ecu and send it away.

You'll to replace pre tensioner and getter crash data removed to distinguish the warning light. The airbag light will remove automatically once the issue has been fixed. It distinguishes itself.

Once I'd installed my ecu back into my car, the airbag light went off by its self.
