Hi all, i have recently bought a 206 1.1 , it seems to have developed a fault, when i am driving and i indicate(mostly when turning left) the indicator will work sometimes 4 times sometimes with out a problem, however when the situation arises, the indicators seem to freeze and the headlights come on.

Anyone have any ideas on this please?

Also another problem i have is i have just purchased new drive shaft and lower ball joint for the n/s, i have stripped the old 1 off and drained gearbox oil, also relplaced gearbox oil seal, question, how do i know when io have recseated the driveshaft correctly as it does not seem to snap in. Also any advice on the wishbone, i have spent about 2 hours trying to line up the back bolt without success.

Many thanks in advance.

Love the car by the way, nice to be able to afford to go out on long runs now :), well it will be when i have it back together. i have changed loads of wishbones on other cars and never had this problem.

Faulty com2000 unit. Common problem. Easiest fix is a new Valeo unit from ECP.

Needs a new Com2000 ( stalk switch pack ) unit fitting, Euro Car Parts do Valeo one's & there a lot better quality then the units Peugeot originally fitted.

Up to you, I'd rather replace with an upgraded Valeo part.

I've found 4 for your year and engine
461735260
461735270
461735280
461735290

You'll just have to compare the specs listed to the specs of your car ie Front fogs, computer etc. Or just go for the top spec incase you want to upgrade later.

FOR ANYONE LOOKING AT THIS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS, I FOUND A GUY IN BRADFORD THAT REPAIRS AND GUARANTEES FOR 6 MONTHS CERTAIN COM 2000 UNITS, VERY HELPFUL GUY AND WILL EVEN BUY YOUR OLD UNIT OFF OF YOU IF YOU ARE SO INCLINED(I WAS NOT) ANYWAY, IF YOU ARE NEAR BRADFORD HE CAN REPAIR THE UNIT IN AROUND AN HOUR, I DO NOT KNOW IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO LINK TO A SITE HERE, SO I WONT , IF YOU ARE INTERESTED DROP ME A PM AND I WILL GIVE YOU HIS NUMBER. HE CLAIMS 2 OUT OF EVERY 100 HE GETS BACK WELL WITHIN THE 6MONTH GAURANTEE PERIOD AND DOES 1000'S OF THESE UNITS, HE HAS BEEN DOING IT 5 YEARS AS A BUSINESS.

MINE COST ME £65 WITH 6MONTH GAURANTEE AND NEXT DAY RECORDED DELIVERY, HE WILL EVEN TALK YOU THROUGH HOW TO FIT IT. VERY KNOWLEDGABLE GUY, MINE WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NUMBER TO THE 1 I RECEIVED AND EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD.

Wink

Is this the guy that advertises on ebay? I've heard good things about him.
If he's a legit business, which it sounds like he is if he is giving a guarantee, then I can't see an issue with you posting his url on here. It might be useful to others in the future. Be even better if you got in touch with him and asked if he'll do a discount for 206info members.

On a side note, you might want to resize you signature before it disappears. Just edit it in photobucket to a max size of 570x150 pixels

Hi, yes, he is a legitimate business andtells me he has done 1000's of these units, i believe he is pretty specialist also as he also has cars sent to him when peugeot are unable to get them running. Thouroughly nice guy. Here is the link for the listing :- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COM...285148462?

that gets updated each month on ebay, but i will also list his phone number. his name is Graeme(same as me) number 07599 587119.
