#1: hazards come on when driving... please help! Author: froggy1963 PostPosted: Fri Apr 04, 2014 11:11 am

Hi all,
I bought a Greg 206 1.1L a few weeks ago. This morning I am about to go to work, my battery is flat... My neighbour tells me the hazards came on throughout the evening. Sometimes for a split second, sometimes for a few minutes at the time. Worst of all, when I bump-started the car and drove away, the hazards came on. Same sort of pattern: on and off, for a split second, etc...
Pressing the hazard switch doesn't help.
I tried switching the radio off, the heater off, the lights off... Makes no difference.
Has anyone got a remedy?
Thanks in advance

What year of 206 is it?

2 completely different types of electrical systems have been used on the 206 & without the info we cant help you as the hazard lights are controlled differently on each type of electrical system.

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply. The car is V reg, 2000. I must blame the predictive text on my phone for that one...
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
Just a quick one to say I sorted the hazard lights problem!
Having taken the switch apart, I noticed a bit of grease on the slider that was making contact with, erm... The contact. I then wiped the grease off and put the switch back together again.
Problem solved.
Might be worth mentioning to everyone else with the same problem. In the meantime, thanks for replying to my post
