Both sides were towing out, especially the drivers side, which was way out.
How the garage that adjusted the tracking with supposidly lazer is beyond me.
Came very close to swapping the wishbones, very glad now i investigated further visiting 2 more garages.

I have had multiple opinions from garages etc, but gonna play safe and replace it.

But car is twitching under acceleration ... pulls to left when you accelerate and back to right when you let off. I'm sure the mounting rubbers are to blame as both look like they are split or splitting (again).
I think the arms I keep getting sold are actually NOT GTI type ... and I think the 2.0 CC should have those.
So where do others get theirs and should you fit GTI arms on the 2.0 engined cars?? I think going to Powerflex bushes might just be too hard (plus I've heard they are a major PITA to get back in as they don't flex much).
#20: Re: Steering pulling to the right under acceleration Author: tonyholbury, Posted: Fri May 30, 2014 3:37 pm ---- Had this problem with a ZX the n/s front wishbone bushes were knackered allowing the wishbone to move forwards under acceloration, the garage found nothing wrong but the bushes fell to bit when removed.
The 206 arms are fixed by bolts passing through two 'drumskin' type bushes.
Now as the wishbones are only £20-£30 each and are a piece of p**s to replace I would just replace the N/S one and suck it and see.
If this works go back to the garage and ask the mechanic if he would let his girlfriend drive a car he had serviced........mechanics are not infalable! and rubber bushes can go soft with no outside sign of deteriaration.
ps the steering twitched to the left as the car swung boatlike to the right??
#21: Re: Steering pulling to the right under acceleration Author: tonyholbury, Posted: Fri May 30, 2014 3:43 pm ---- I have a 206 that passed the mot but has worn discs and pads, leaky front forks I have sourced discs/pads/ wishbones and front dampers and will fit the lot in one go as it saves three loads of stripping and refitting and at £140 for the lot dirt cheap!

A hard one to sort out as there was no noises, or uncomfortable ride to go by.
Thanks everyone, wishbones not replaced, as wishbones was a red herring.
