#1: knocking from from O/S Author: le0n2014 PostPosted: Fri May 02, 2014 10:52 am
    ----
hi there,

im experiencing a problem with my 1.4 glx that started about 4 days ago. a knocking has started coming from my front os wheel/wheel arch area. this randomly started happening out of the blue. thus far i have changed the driveshaft (the spring in the imediate bearing housing was snapped in 2) replaced the spring and the driveshaft hoping this would fix it, no luck. so checked balljoint drop links and track rod end where tight, and they was. the drop links are about a month old and rubbers are fine. ive completely removed the front ARB just incase that had alot of play in it. still no joy. checked struts bolts are tight etc so im really stumped now.

any help would be appreciated Smile

Leon

Jack the front end up, both wheels off the ground, drive through the gears, and see if knocking goes, if not it should be obvious where the noise is coming from. Laughing
