Get it scanned with Peugeot Planet 2000 to point you in the direction of the fault.
Could be a sensor failure, BSI bug, comm unit failure or something as simple as a loose connector.

Thank you fit the warning, I've taken it to a garage that has basically told me it's an expensive job and not to bother getting it done Surprised

What have they said is wrong? You might be able to repair it yourself.

They said it's a fault in the abs system and to leave well alone!

I've only had the car a week and it seems to be running fine but I don't know what happens when it's not!

So they don't really know. It could be the sensor or a cracked ring, both cheap relatively easy repairs.

Find someone close to you with PP2000 and find out what the actual fault is.

He said he put the scanner on it and that's what came up and it's an expensive fix so leave it alone it's fine as it is Sad

Until it fails the MOT test Wink

Find a garage / mechanic that actually knows what there talking about, this lot sound like a bunch of useless cowboys!

It needs scanning with Peugeot Planet, not some crappy Snap On scanner which most garages use.

Could low gearbox oil cause this warning message???

I doubt it.

The ESP unit on the 206 is the same basic one that VAG have lots of issues with Wink

Needs scanning with Planet to get the fault codes.
