Which ABS Ring?
-> 206 Problems

#1: Which ABS Ring? Author: 206Tom, Location: Ipswich PostPosted: Mon Jun 02, 2014 1:12 pm

Hi guys,

Need a new ABS ring for the 'shaft on the 206 - both 85mm and 90mm rings are listed though.

Is there a way to tell without measuring?

Its a 2002 2.0 HDi90 btw...

Want to order one tonight if someone can confirm.

Cheers
Tom

How much are they? You could order both.

Well the 90mm is only £1.70 so not much, but the 85mm is a fiver!

Might have to order both as a last resort if there's no sure way of telling though.

Well I gambled on a 90mm.

So of course I got it stripped down today to find its an 85mm on the car. :s

Also (wont bother making another thread), not sure if I'm missing something, but when trying to put it back together I couldn't bend the wishbone down far enough to bet the BJ lower than the hole in the hub. I've not had this issue on other cars, I know it takes a bit of force but seems impossible on the 206....am I just weak or is there a knack to it lol?

Trolley jack under the disc could help. Not too much pressure though as it's dangerous

Dangerous? Its currently only on one wheel, 2 axle stands and a jack on a sloping gravel drive... I like to live dangerously lol.

Will get the rears sorted first so I can drop them back down before doing any more at the front I think.
