#1: Gearbox numbers. Author: grahamlaw, Posted: Sun Jun 15, 2014 8:21 am ---- Hello all, need some help with gearbox numbers for a GTI 180 2001.
We're trying to get ours replaced but the box I ordered off ebay doesn't fit. The cowboy fitting it for us said the one we bought has different linkages.
I asked him for the code on the old gearbox which is 10gk2 but the new one is 11gk4. When I google these codes I just get ebay listings. The original codes brings up boxes for a 206 HDI and the code for the wrong box brings up 307 HDI.
When I search ebay for boxes I keep seeing other codes, 20DM17 or 20DL79.
Can anyone help out with these?

Enter your vin, and go into characterastics on the left of the page.
