Gearbox issue

Citroen berlingo 54 plate 1.9d - I know it's not a 206 but thought I might get an answer anyway seeing as it's still French Smile

Basically driving it home the other day and it stopped working. Got it transported home and a mate came down to look at it to find out there was some bolts that hold the gearbox to the engine had come loose / fallen out and also the off side driveshaft had popped out.

Just wondering if they could be a result of the clutch being changed 6 months ago as I thought they both had to be removed to do the job or is it just one of them things, cheers

Does sound like a shoddy previous repair.

That is what I was thinking, the only problem is the bloke that done the work lives down me old mans road and does the work for cash. So it's not like going back to a big garage if something happens.

It's annoying though as we need the van for work and due to the cost of getting it fixed we might swell buy a new van as it's only worth about £500

Should be easy enough to repair, but does sound like half a job!

Yeh we're going to try and fix it but a mate seems to think the gearbox may have had it now Sad
