#1: noise possible VVT help needed Author: danandan, Posted: Fri Aug 01, 2014 8:51 am ---- hi there i have a gti 180 and is making a noise. its sounds like a metal on metal type of noise the kinda sound of an engine mount gone kinda noise (but all mounts are fine) bit like a wheel bearing going kinda noise. its been going for around a month and got much louder last night. so can is not gonna run until i find the problem.
The noise only happens when car is above 3000rpm until the red line and will only happen on full acceleration or when foot is off the pedal. anyone experienced this and solved? No eml on and no codes stored....
anymore info on the vvt system used would be helpful in me trying to understand the problem as i have nay experiance with vvt (iv been old school XU most my life)
