All yesterday car was fine until I was driving back hme and pulled up to a roundabout and the car was nearly stalling, thot was a one off as when I got up to motorway speed again it ran fine.stop outside my house and let it idle it was running rough as hell!!!anyone had the same problem?it's a 2005 206 gti,it's was also really heavy rain last night so not sure if that could have anything to do with it?

I am cleaning the throttle body and sensors to c if that will help.

Maybe empty out any water in the air filter housing. Not sure where it is on yours but my 206 1.4 it's way down under the Front bumper so any puddles etc could splash in there.

Momnetum99 is an additive I presume. Maybe it's clogged up some sensor. Can't help mate.

Try cleaning the idle control valve/stepper motor and throttle housing, there's a 'HowTo' lurking here

** Just realised it's 2005 and I know nothing about GTi engine's - but think the later ones aren't cable operated?

But I'm presuming it still has a stepper motor and air bypass in a similar manner....?

I had a very similar problem when I first had my XSi, turned out the spark plugs just needed changing, its worth taking them out and checking they look ok, as it wouldn't cost anything just for a look.

Bit late but it had the same issues with my 206 1.4 sport

Turned out mine was because I had a decat system and the post cat lambda was sending signals say the car was running to rich so obviously reducing the amount of fuel the car ran.

Unfortunately mine was all the time and even using the resistor trick didn't work also tried a sports car system and nothing cured it
