Driver's door lock
-> 206 Problems

#1: Driver's door lock Author: dan00dle PostPosted: Sun Sep 21, 2014 1:38 pm

Hello all - first post. Hopefully someone can help?

I have a 2007 1.4 206 Look. Strange issue when coming back home today. The central locking would only lock the boot. Fiddled around trying both the fob and the button in the car next to the hazards switch. Managed to get it to lock the passenger door and the boot with central locking. This also happens with the auto locking when driving, leaving the driver's side unlocked.

I'm having to lock the driver's side manually Sad

Anyone else had this issue? Is it likely the motor for the driver's door lock has died?

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Door lock motor failure is common on the 206.

Be warned there are 2 different types & there NOT interchangeable.

Some 206 are normal central locking while others have deadlocking, make sure you get the correct replacement lock motor.

Thanks for the quick reply. How do I identify which locking type I have?

Does your 206 have deadlocks fitted?

Being a LOOK spec I doubt it.
